Riviera Nayarit, the jewel of Mexico’s Pacific coastline. It is here, in a bustling bohemian village, where PDG took its first design dip in international waters.  The extensive remodel of a modest surf house with magnificent views is the latest addition to our portfolio.  Perched above the center of the pueblo and three short blocks from the beach, we set up shop in a tropical paradise.

Successfully steering the project to completion depended on finding the right architect. One who could implement our vision, a vision which presented three major challenges.  While the simple structure provided the perfect platform, our primary goals were ambitious.

Convert the lengthy driveway entrance into a visually appealing outdoor living space.
Configure a pool. An engineering feat, given the narrow lot size.
Capitalize on the panoramic ocean view with the addition of a brilliant rooftop master suite.

Originally from Mexico City, Arquitecto Carcamo came on board, bringing with him a team of exceptional regional artisans and craftsmen. Over the next four months the newly assembled crew of creatives huddled daily. As with any renovation, the unknowns surfaced frequently.  But the spirit of the project also emerged early on.  Affording a voice to every member, the team navigated the unexpected turns with ease.  Ah, the wonder of the collaborative process.

Staying authentic was important to us when it came to the interior design.  Shopping excursions throughout Mexico provided us the chance to select the perfect collection of furniture, textiles and art to create a modernized yet genuine style.  A style that is apparent down to the slightest detail.

Once a gem in the rough, the newly polished villa is another jewel in Mexico’s coastal crown.
